VHS Celebs latest release ‘Don’t Cry’ is the first track recorded for the project,and set the tone sonically for their debut album. Layers of synth bass and percussive hits slowly build at a downtempo before Believe’s tortured vocals begin. His lyrics allude to how doubts can creep in when the high of falling in love is infiltrated by the realization that you are not so entirely simpatico with your partner as you had hoped. With accompanying visuals inspired by the classic 1987 hit film ‘The Princess Bride’, Don’t Cry embraces the darkness of doubt but implores us to not be afraid of the thoughts that linger in our heads.
